About Mark Wright
Rep. Mark Wright, a Republican, represents northwest Springfield (District 137) in the Missouri House of Representatives. As a member of House Leadership, Rep. Wright serves as Chair of the House Committee on Administration and Accounting. He served as Assistant Majority Floor Leader during the 92nd General Assembly.
Rep. Wright is currently employed by Christian Health Care Corporation in Springfield, where he is responsible for implementing audit findings and maximizing dollars available for patient care. Prior to this position, Mark served as Executive Director of Friends of Roy Blunt, the principal campaign committee for United States Congressman Roy Blunt, the U. S. House Majority Whip.
In 2002, Missouri College Republicans selected Rep. Wright as their “Republican Legislator of the Year.” In 2003, Mark received the Concerned Women of America’s “RSVP Award” for his pro-family efforts on behalf of women and children. In 2004, Rep. Wright was awarded Baptist Bible College’s prestigious “Professional Alumnus Award.” Most recently he received the Missouri Farm Bureau’s “Friend of Agriculture Award.”
Mark Wright’s numerous legislative accomplishments include pro-family, pro-business, and pro-accountability provisions for state government. In addition to his legislative duties, Rep. Wright's civic activities include membership in the Parkcrest Baptist Church, the Robberson Elementary School PTA, and the Woodland Heights Neighborhood Association.
Rep. Wright attended Baptist Bible College in Springfield, where he pursued a degree in Pastoral Studies. He currently resides in Springfield with his wife, Tiffany. They have four children: Jacquelyn, Savannah, Preston, and Benjamin.
